INTRODUCTION:

Mauritius is a republic state which is located at the southeast coast of the African continent. The Islands of Mauritius along with other Islands are part of Mascarene Islands. Most people know Mauritius for its beauty and tourist spots which are very eye catching and mesmerizing. Research has shown that there is a constant increase in tourist visiting Mauritius for example, there was an increase of 3.6% in tourist visiting Mauritius from 2018 to 2019.

 

PLACES TO VISIT IN MAURITIUS:

Trou Aux Biches:

It is a very beautiful but small town in Mauritius. The most famous place/thing that attract tourist are its public beaches. People that lives beaches, swimming and snorkeling should visit Trou Aux Biches I promise you won’t regret your decision. Furthermore, people who love food should also visit this place as there is a variety of things you could try as there are many stalls and cafes along the coast.

 

Belle Mare Plague:

It is also a beach and is most known for its beautiful sunrises. For the early risers, Belle Mare Plagues is the best place to visit because of its sunrises. People loves to take a dive while seeing sunrise. If you are an early riser, you should definitely visit Belle Mare Plague.

 

Ilot Gabriel Beach:

This is one of the most unexplored beaches of Mauritius mainly because not many people know about this beach. It is located in Gabriel Island 20 Km from the north coast. The main beauty of this beach is its picturesque beauty. So, if you like to take beautiful picture you should visit Ilot Gabriel Beach.

 

Chamarel Coloured Earth/ Seven Coloured Earth:

It is located in South-Western Mauritius and is a small area of sand dunes which has 7 different colors of sand. So, if you want to see thing that is out of this world you should visit it. People visit this place to see the surreal view and get shock and pleasant at the same time and it is considered to be one of the best places for honeymoon.

CULTURE OF MAURITIUS:

Architecture:

The architecture in Mauritius is very different and unique in its own way which is influenced my its history as a colonial trade base connecting Europe with the East. The architecture shows the style which are induced by French, Dutch mixed with influences from east Africa which resulted in a unique architecture which is very beautiful.

 

Holidays and Festivals:

Just like Architecture the public holidays of Mauritius is also a blend of different culture/festivals which involves Hindu Festivals, Muslim Festivals, Christian Festivals and Chinese Festivals.

 

CONCLUSION:

In conclusion, I would say that if you haven’t visited Mauritius so what are you waiting for? If you are thinking to go on a holiday Mauritius can be a good option for you and your family. Their cuisine, the Scenery, their culture everything is good about this place. I assure you that you will not regret your decision.
